About me

I have taught and still teach (and love teaching) in a classroom. I have been a consultant in school improvement and educational technology programs, hold a Master's degree in Technology in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and an undergraduate degree in Spanish Philology from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. I believe that educational technology can help change and improve the quality of teaching, learning, assessement and administration in schools, some of the most change-resistant organizations in our society. Furthermore, I think learning how to use technology to communicate, research, create, make decisions and ultimately learn continually is critical to the success of any society and a responsibility of every school.

After coordinating one of the strategic lines of action of the Colombian Ministry of Education's Media and Technology in Education Program for two years, I recently accepted the challenge of helping Gimnasio La Montaña, a private bilingual school in Bogotá, by designing and leading the implementation of their educational technology plan. I am the Director of Educational Technlology, since March 2008, in charge of the use of technology to support management, teaching, learning and communication throughout the school.
